Communication with Parents/Carers

At St. Martin's, we feel that good communication with parents/carers is invaluable. Our aim is to ensure that through good and open communication channels, we are able to help the child achieve the best possible outcomes. 

Each child will have their own personal account on ‘Seesaw’ and this will be our main platform for communication with families. 

• This account is private and can only be accessed by yourselves, the Early Birds Nursery Teachers and the Management Team. 

• Regular updates will be provided by the class teacher. This may include written comments, photos or videos of your child. Please note that photos and videos will not be posted daily. 

• Families will be able to ‘like’ posts and comment on them to communicate with class teachers. 

• Teachers will be available to respond to messages on Seesaw between 08.30-16.00 from Monday- Friday during term time.

Additionally, Teachers collect and dismiss children daily and so you are able to speak to them at the school gate if required. For specific questions related to your child’s learning or development, please ask to speak to the class teacher directly. For more sensitive matters or lengthier discussions, please request a meeting with the class teacher. We will then arrange a meeting as soon as possible. 

Please note that should there be an emergency or change of collection time or pick up point, that you should call the secretary’s office on 20045360 as teachers may not receive Seesaw messages during class time.
